Snowmaking and early snowfall allow Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort to schedule opening for winter operations on Friday, November 24, 2006.
The snowmaking expansion undertaken by Mission Ridge in 2005 is playing a key role in the ability of the resort to open at such an early date. With the new system, snowmaking now covers 66 acres on 6 trails accessed by 3 of the 4 lifts including the Liberator Express that serves the summit of the ski area. Snowmaking also covers the B.2.4 Terrain Park. Mission Ridge installed the Liberator Express quad lift in 2005.
